Minnie Mouse and Little Sprout ...
We couldn't of have asked for better trick-or-treating weather. It was as good as it has been in the three years that we've been out with either of the girls. We were able to get out into the neighborhood early, while Grandma manned the front door for us while we were gone (thanks Grandma!) It didn't take long for Amelia to get the hang of what to do as she followed Maddy from house to house. Maddy would run ahead a bit and yell out if the porch light was on. She was the door-knocker and trick-or-treater, while Amelia would quietly pick out her piece of candy and drop it in her bucket. Both of the girls were really good at saying "thank-you!" before moving on to the next house. Though we went to more houses this year than we have in the past, the girls tuckered out pretty quickly and we were home before dark. All in all it was an excellent Halloween and thankfully we gave away more candy than we collected! You can check out the pumpkin carving and Halloween pictures here ...
Besides Halloween itself, we've tried to spend more time this year enjoying the outside before it gets too cold (I don't think either Kristin or I are looking forward to being cooped up between January and March!) You can check out our outdoor adventures and Grammy's birthday pictures here ...
Next weekend we will be celebrating Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa's house (yes, next weekend ... I can't believe its that time already!) After that, the season is a mad rush of family birthdays and Christmas and then ... nothing for three cold months ... I will just have to keep adding to my new If I had a Bazillion Dollars wish list ;)
With Love,
The Family
