Growing Up Fast ...

It hit us the other week that Madolyn is half-way to becoming a kindergartner. Which, one might think, is still a long way off ... until you consider how FAST the last two-and-a-half years have gone! Two Christmas's, two birthdays, vacations to Seattle and Connecticut, the birth of baby Amelia and all of the milestones in between. Though we know this type of realization is still going to hit us fifteen years from now (and every year in between!), we're really glad that it is happening now, because it helps to reinforce how important the NOW really is.

Speaking of fast ... Amelia is practically growing right before our eyes. We swear that in a few years she's going to be taller than Maddy! She is holding her head up really well ... and she is quite the talker. Amelia will look you right in the eyes and with very little encouragement coo out as much as she can in one breath.

Madolyn loves her little sister too ... at the grocery store, Madolyn always tells everyone who will listen that she has a baby sister at home who was "born yesterday". Maddy and Amelia had a neat moment together today ... Maddy was talking to Amelia and showing her something and Amelia just beamed and smiled.

I know that we can't keep these two this size forever, but it sure would be nice ...
