Happy Valentine's Day! We had a nice day with a good dinner prepared by Matt. The pictures are from the dinner, the flowers from Matt, and Maddy signing her valentine's for the school party.  K

It rained just about the entire day.  And there's plenty of water everywhere to prove it.  I tried to capture the wind in this picture out our back door.  It doesn't show the gusting like I wanted it to.  One of the streets that we pass on the way home had a good portion of it covered with water.  The girls were very intrigued wondered how people were going to get home.  K

We took a walk on the path in our neighborhood this past Saturday.  It was warmer and most of the snow was melting.  I think the girls were happy to be outside.  They were searching for walking sticks as we made our way through the slush.

This just shows that men can multi-task.  Matt is cooking dinner in no less than three pans and talking on the phone.  He made his cheesy scalloped sweet potatoes.  Very good...although he says he needs to zest it up a bit.

It was just the girls on Sunday.  Matt went to his brothers house to play a game of Axis and Allies with Jon Beard and Hugo.  Maddy had her first official play date with her friend Emily from daycare.  And Amelia and I just tooled around and had a bit of ice cream at a place called Oberweis.

Well....we finally found one. Matt just happened to be in Target when a fresh shipment was in. This Wii Fit is hard to get your hands on. K

More snow.....Yuck! Although Matt still claims that he likes it. And it's really cold. At least the girls are getting used to snow and love playing in it. Tonight while I was cooking dinner, Maddy and Amelia dressed up in some of the old Halloween costumes. I caught Maddy helping Amelia put on her Minnie Mouse shoes. K

This is our night time ritual of reading books to the girls before bed. It's a little harder now that they are both in the same room. Some nights only one of them is paying attention while the other is preoccupied with something in the room. Other nights they both pay attention and then there are some when neither one will listen.
