Favorite Time of the Year ...

Don't get me wrong, Spring and Summer are great, but I love the feel of that first crisp-cold day and the morning fog, the smell of newly fallen leaves and fresh mums, and the anticipation of the upcoming holiday season with pots of chili and "Tyler's Ultimate Pot Roast" to fill the gaps in between. I also love one of our newest annual family traditions ... visiting the Stony Creek Farms pumpkin patch. The pumpkin patch itself is a sight to behold, with hundreds of bright orange pumpkins nestled among the rolling hills of the tree farm ... all winking at you in the sunlight as you bump past in a hay-filled wagon. We brought our own red wagon this year and loaded it up with three nice fat pumpkins plus a couple of little ones that the girls picked out. Of course we took a gazillion more pictures, so I'll let the photo album tell you the rest of the story.

The next stop on the holiday road is Halloween. The girls each have their own cute little costumes ready to go, but I'm not going to give away any surprises. You'll just have to wait until the next post ;)

I Really Can't Believe ...

Kristin and I both commented as we flipped through the latest batch of photos how much the girls have changed, even in just a short few months. Amelia's hair has grown so much longer ... we've trimmed her bangs for the first time (but its going to be soooooooooo hard to cut her beautiful curls when the time comes). Also, Maddy is just bursting with as much personality as ever before ... she can put on quite a show (sometimes funny and sometimes not ;) Some of her pictures just crack us up because of the variety of her expressions ... and when she is at a lack of expression, she makes up for it with one of her "funny faces".

We've taken quite a bit of video this year also that we need to watch. We'll make sure we bring the new videos with us as we visit our families over the course of the next year.
