Amelia's First Birthday ...

It truly was a beautiful day for a First Birthday. The heat (and drought) had broken, the sun was shining, and it was a beautiful day shared with family and friends. For the most part, we are a family of fall, winter, and spring birthdays. So, having a summer birthday allowed us to get the water toys and lawn chairs out to enjoy the outside. Amelia loved every minute of the day as well ... between the balloons, the bubbles, the water, the cake, the gifts, and a good "Happy Birthday to You" every other hour or so, what kid wouldn't!

One of my favorite traditions that we've done every year for the girl's birthdays is to sort out all of the photos that we've taken of them over the course of that year ... for Amelia's first year we had 2,025! It really brings out the memories of the year and emphasizes how much these "little people" of ours have grown.

Very awesome!

Massive Spring Update!

Sounds spectacular doesn't it? Actually it has been, considering that the last blog post was in February! Since the "Big Snow" of February, we've been to both Florida (Disney!) and Connecticut (Nicole's wedding!) ... we've had first birthdays (Amelia!) and funerals (sadly my cousin Tom) ... and in between, lots of smaller, everyday events that, when added together, define our family for who we are. Many of those events have been captured in the almost 1,500 pictures that we've taken (ok, Kristin's taken) since we last uploaded the Florida vacation favorites to Picasa Web.

So, without delay, check out the Spring Update pictures here ... and Jon and Nicoles wedding pictures here ...

As always, Enjoy!
